Leon
Barsoumian (Chairman of the Board, President,
& Selection Committee Member)

Leon Barsoumian graduated from the School of Management
at Boston University with a major in Management
Information Systems. In college he was the Vice
President of the Armenian Student Association
for three years. One of his responsibilities was
to help lead fundraisers, and in this role, he
helped organize numerous successful fundraisers
where the Association exceeded its fundraising
goals. He has worked in financial services, retail,
e-commerce and advertising in marketing capacities
and most currenty is attending Babson College
MBA program in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Concurrently,
he assembled a talented team of executive and
board of directors to aid him establish and lead
The Armenian Scholarship Foundation.
He has traveled to Armenia to
take part in the world wide Armenian Jamboree
in 1998 and has participated in the 2001 World
Games in Lebanon as part of the Homenetmen (an
Armenian nonprofit athletic organization) East
Coast U.S. track and field team.
Leon is fluent in Armenian and
French and has been an active member of several
other Armenian nonprofits. He was an Armenian
Boy scout leader for 6 years, consulted Armenian
boys and girls scouts leaders on how to effectively
manage a group of youths and overcome conflicts.
In his spare time he enjoys reading, spending
time with friends and skiing.
Kirk
Avedissian (Vice President)

Kirk Avedisian graduated from
Bentley College with a major in Marketing as well
as minor in Business Communications. After graduating
from college, he worked at Epsilon Data Management,
a marketing company that specialized in Direct
Mail and Database Management. A large majority
of the company's business stemmed from non-profit
clients such as Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis,
etc. As an Account Executive on the Nation Multiple
Sclerosis Society team he conducted many national
fundraising events for this client. His involvement
in these fundraising events included coordinating
national mailings, setting up tables at events
to stimulate individuals' participation, and organizing
fashion shows. Currently, he is employed as an
executive at Omni Foods Supermarkets in Chestnut
Hill, MA.
One of his personal greatest
experiences was living in Yerevan, Armenia for
over 3 months with the AYF (Armenian Youth Foundation)
internship program back in the summer of 1998.
George Sajonian (Treasurer)

George Sajonian is a fourth-year student at the
Boston University School of Management with a
double major in Operations Management and Entrepreneurship
with a minor in Chemistry. He served on the executive
board as Treasurer of the Greater Boston Seniors
Armenian Youth Federation chapter, and has been
part of the Homenetmen Boy Scouts for eight years,
which included participating in the World Jamboree
in Armenia during the summer of 1998. George has
also served as President of the Armenian Student
Association at Boston University for the past
two years.
Ani Boghossian (Secretary)

Ani Boghossian graduated from Brandeis University
with a major in Psychology and a minor in Art
History. She currently works as a Media Planner
at the advertising firm ArnoldMPG in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ani's previous experience with
non-profits includes her volunteer work with the
Armenian-Iranian Society of Greater Boston and
the Soup Kitchen & Nutrition for Armenia.
In addition, she attended the Erebuni Armenian
Saturday school for 10 years and also sang with
the Erebuni Armenian chorus for two years.
